Created to prevent and reduce the depth of child poverty in the township. Assist low-income families to access the services they need in their community. The Outreach Worker can help with a number of concerns, such as providing information on community resources, support with accessing programs such as housing or Ontario Works, as well as connecting with childcare resources or counseling support. Support is also available for subsidy fees for recreational activities, assistance with transportation issues, employment/education information, and connection with Food Bank.
Programs include : Clothing Closet · open daily to the public · used clothing and small household items · Donations accepted – clean and in season only · Cloth Diaper Bank · free loan of diapers, coverings and some soap. To be returned clean when finished · For use by low–income families to encourage economically/environmentally friendly laundering. |
